The app works without registration. A random installation identifier is generated on your device and used only to enforce free-tier limits and connect your purchase — it is not linked to your name, email, or identity.

Your CV content and the AI service

What we collect, and how. The text you type or dictate during the interview; your CV itself — name, contact details, work history, education and skills; documents or photos of a CV you choose to import; and any job description you paste. All of it comes from what you enter in the app. We obtain none of it from any other source, and the app has no account, so it is not tied to your identity.

What it is used for. Only to provide the feature you asked for: writing and improving your CV during the interview, importing an existing CV, translating between Arabic and English, refining a sentence you tap, scoring your CV, comparing it to a job description and tailoring it, writing a cover letter, and running mock-interview practice. It is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose you did not ask for.

Who it is shared with. Our server (HashCode FZE) passes this content to the Gemini API, operated by Google LLC, which generates the text and returns it. Google is our only AI provider and the only third party that receives your CV content. Google processes it as our service provider under the Google APIs Terms of Service and the Gemini API Additional Terms, which require Google to protect it to a standard equivalent to the commitments in this policy, to use it only to provide the service to us, and not to use it to train its models. We share your content with no one else, and we never sell it.

Your permission. The app asks before any of this is sent, and shows you this same disclosure at that moment. If you do not agree, nothing is sent and the AI features stay off — you can still write, edit and export a CV on your device. You may turn it off again at any time in Settings → “AI and your data”. That stops anything further being sent; it cannot recall content already processed.

How long it is kept. We do not store your CV content on our server once the reply is returned — it exists only for the seconds the request takes. Your CVs live on your device. Google retains request data only briefly, for abuse monitoring under its terms, before deleting it.

Your photo

A photo you add for Gulf-style templates is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers or any AI service.

Usage statistics

We count anonymous daily totals of feature use, and daily totals of errors by type. These counters contain no personal data, no device identifiers, and cannot be traced to you.

Problem reports

If something goes wrong, the app may offer to send us a problem report. Nothing is sent unless you tap to send it, and the screen shows you the exact contents first. A report contains the error, the screen you were on, your app version, device model, iOS version, language, a short list of the actions you just took (feature names only, never what you typed), your installation identifier, and any message you choose to write. It never contains your CV content. If you write a message, please do not include personal details — it is stored as you typed it.

Advertising measurement

If you installed the app after tapping an Apple Search Ads advert, Apple's AdServices framework provides us with the campaign, ad group and keyword identifiers for that advert, plus the country of the App Store you used. We store these to understand which adverts lead to purchases. They are numeric identifiers for our own adverts — they do not identify you, are not shared with any third party, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking is involved. Installs that did not come from an advert are simply recorded as such.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. We verify your purchase receipt cryptographically to unlock paid features.

Your rights

Withdrawing your permission. The app asks your permission before it sends anything to the AI service, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings → “AI and your data”. Nothing further is sent to Google once you do, and you can give permission again from the same screen. Withdrawing stops future sending; it cannot recall content already processed.

Deleting your data. Your CVs are held on your device: deleting a CV in the app deletes it, and deleting the app deletes all of them along with every setting. We keep no CV content on our server. To have anything we do hold deleted — a problem report you chose to send us, or the anonymous installation identifier attached to it — email support@hashcode.ae and we will delete it.
